Some 59 hectares of land are devoted to the cultivation of cut flowers and potted plants in the Canton of Geneva. Open field cultivation predominates (39 hectares), while some 14 hectares are cultivated under cover. Nurseries that cultivate flowers and plants from seed fill six hectares
